What is a Summary?
Our Summaries give a concise overview of the security and travel safety situation for a Destination. It includes the country Risk Level and an overview of the political, terrorism, unrest, crime, natural hazards, health and local travel situation in a country.
We have Summaries for all the countries and territories covered by our Destination reports, which are more than 230.
Use cases
✈️ For TMCs, our Summaries can be the first piece of risk intelligence their travellers encounter about a destination, ideal for not overwhelming them with unnecessary information.
🌐 Security companies can have access to Riskline's Summaries from their GSOC to gain basic knowledge of the risks around their customers and their assets in a given destination.
💼 Insurance companies can provide our Summaries to their customers at the booking stage, pre-travel and during travel. As policyholders are better informed about their destination, they are less likely to change their travel plans and encounter unexpected risks and more likely to travel to safer destinations.
Requirements
To access this API please follow these steps:
- Register in our Developer Portal: https://developers.riskline.com/user/login
- Create an application and subscribe to the Summaries API.
- Wait for approval - Riskline will review your application (it will just take a few minutes)
- Request a new API key after your application is approved
- Use the new key and endpoint to make requests to the API.
