Product update: TripReady Improvements - V2

We have launched TripReady API v2, alongside enhancements to the TripReady web app.

These updates provide greater flexibility for clients, improved consistency across our products, and a clearer experience for travellers.

What changed/improved

TripReady API v2

The new API version includes:

  • Method Update: Switched from POST to GET requests.
  • Simplified Requests: Removed the Origin, start_date, and end_date parameters.

TripReady web app enhancements

The web app has also been updated with several improvements:

  • Improved layout: The destination name has been repositioned within the destination image to make better use of the available space and accommodate additional alerts.
  • PDF reports: Where enabled by Riskline, users can now download a TripReady PDF Report directly from the web app.
  • Improved content hierarchy: Standardised guidance and disclaimers are visually differentiated from destination-specific content, making information easier to navigate and understand.

The following changes apply to both the new API version and the Web app:

  • Enhanced Alerts: Alerts are now categorized into "Recent incidents" (maximum 5 displayed) and "Upcoming alerts" (maximum 3 displayed).
  • Clearer Visa Information: A new disclaimer clarifies the destination, nationality, and travel duration applicable to the visa assessment.
  • Improved Documentation Guidance: Relevant URL links are now available directly within the app when documentation is required.
  • Female Travelers Enhancement: Refined wording provides clearer and more proportionate information for higher-concern destinations.
  • Clearer Messaging: When no documentation is required, the app/API explicitly confirms this and reminds travelers to verify requirements with the relevant embassy or consulate before departure.
  • Flexible Content: Customizable display sections cover recent incidents, upcoming events, and social acceptance information for female and LGBTQ+ travelers.
