Changes to our COVID-19 information in 2023

As Covid-19 continues to evolve, we recognise that some of the information that we have provided since the start of the pandemic in early 2020 is no longer relevant or important to today's traveller or travel manager.

In light of these changing conditions and shifting demands of travellers, Riskline will make the following changes to its Covid-19 information in 2023:

Suspensions

Riskline will no longer report the following information after 1 January 2023 (existing API formats will not change; fields will remain but no values will be reported):

Country-level Covid-19 Data

  • Hot Spots
  • Domestic Infection Map URL

City-level Covid-19 Data

  • Covid-19 risk level
  • Summary

Deprecations

Riskline will no longer support the following versions of its Covid-19 API:

  • Covid-19 API version 2 (V2) will be deprecated on 3 April 2023

Changes

Riskline will change the way some information is reported after 1 January 2023. Existing API formats will not change; fields will remain but no values will be reported.

  • Tracing Apps: Riskline will no longer report recommended Tracing Apps, however we will continue to report required Tracing Apps
  • Covid-19 report review cycle: Riskline currently conducts a review of each Covid-19 report on a biweekly basis. From 2023, Riskline will review each report every 4 weeks. We will continue to update all reports immediately upon any announced or actual policy change
  • Covid-19 Travel and Safety Report: This report will be updated on a quarterly basis instead of monthly

Improvements

Riskline will capture additional information throughout 2023 to expand our coverage of travel requirements beyond Covid-19 related measures. These include:

  • Entry: visas, security authorisations, other required vaccines and documentation
  • Airspace: total and partial airspace closures due to worldwide developments that impact air travel
  • Curfew and Lockdown: local or nationwide movement control orders in response to security or health risks that affect travel
